Mr. Schmitz has served as Chairman and CEO of Select Energy Services since 2007. Mr. Schmitz founded Peak Oilfield Services, LLC in 2007, and the company was transformed into Select Energy Services under his leadership. Select Energy Services has experienced significant growth and transformation, both organically and through the strategic acquisitions of oilfield services and technologies.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Mr. Schmitz has founded and developed numerous successful businesses in the oil and gas industry including HEP Oil Company, Complete Production Services and Brammer Supply.

Mr. Delaney became a member of the Board of Directors in May 2010. Mr. Delaney is a Partner at Crestview Partners where he leads the firm’s energy investing efforts. Prior to joining Crestview, Mr. Delaney was a Partner at Goldman Sachs where he served in a variety of leadership positions including head of the Principal Investment Area in Asia, head of the Principal Investment Area in Japan, head of the Global Leveraged Finance Group and head of the Workout, Advisory and Restructuring Group. He also served as a member of the Investment Committee which oversaw Goldman’s corporate private equity investment funds. Mr. Delaney is also a director of Bell Supply Company, Samson Resources, and Symbion. Mr. Delaney is a Trustee of Hamilton College.

Mr. Klein became a member of our board of directors in May of 2010. Mr. Klein joined Crestview Partners in 2007 and has been involved with Select LLC since Crestview began its relationship with Select LLC in 2010. Prior to Crestview Partners, Mr. Klein worked as an investment professional at Centennial Ventures, Inc., where he invested in early- to mid-stage companies across multiple industries. Before Centennial Ventures Inc., Mr. Klein worked in Mergers and Acquisitions group at Compass Partners, advising corporations and private equity firms on a wide range of transactions. Previously, Mr. Klein worked as an analyst in the Media & Telecom group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Inc. and then Credit Suisse.

Mr. Wall rejoined our board of directors in November 2016, having previously served on the board of SES Holdings, our subsidiary from January 2012 through December 2014. Mr. Wall formerly served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Patterson-UTI Energy, Inc. from October 2007 through September 2012, after joining the company as Chief Operating Officer in April 2007. He joined Patterson-UTI Energy, Inc. after a sixteen-year career with Baker Hughes, Inc., most recently as Group President, Completions & Production. In that role he was responsible for the operations of Baker Oil Tools, Inc. Baker Petrolite Corporation, and Centrilift, Inc., as well as the company’s production optimization efforts. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Wall was President of Baker Oil Tools, Inc., and from 1997 to 2003, he was President of Hughes Christensen Company. From 1991 to 1997, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Western Rock Bit Company Ltd., then Hughes Tool Company’s distributor in Canada. Prior to joining Baker Hughes, Inc. and its predecessors, Mr. Wall held a variety of senior executive positions with oilfield service companies in Canada. He began his career in the drilling industry in 1978 with ATCO Drilling (previously Thomson Drilling) and later spent 10 years with Adeco Drilling & Engineering Company Ltd., an affiliate of Parker Drilling Company.

Since May 2014, Mr. Wall has served on the board of directors of Fugro N.V., a Dutch-based company involved in the geotechnical, survey, subsea and seismic business. Additionally, in August 2016, Mr. Wall joined the board of directors of Seventy Seven Energy Inc., an Oklahoma-based oilfield services company that provides drilling, pressure pumping, oilfield rental tools and other services to U.S. onshore E&P companies. Mr. Wall received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Calgary and an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Alberta.

We believe Mr. Wall’s extensive experience as a public energy company executive and his service on multiple public company boards bring valuable experience and insight to our board.

Mr. Burnett joined our board of directors in November 2016 and serves as the chairman of our audit committee. Mr. Burnett is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Covey Park Energy, a private E&P company sponsored by Denham Capital, a position he has held since July 2017.  Prior to joining Covey Park, Mr. Burnett served as Chief Financial Officer of Texas Double Eagle Energy Holdings II, a U.S. onshore E&P partnership with Apollo Natural Resource Partners from August 2016 until its sale to Parsley Energy, Inc. during the first half of 2017. Prior to Double Eagle Energy Holdings II, Mr. Burnett spent three years at EXCO Resources, Inc., a publicly-traded U.S. onshore E&P company, serving as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer.

From 2002 to November 2013, Mr. Burnett was at KPMG LLP, an international accounting firm, serving as a Partner beginning 2007. Starting in June 2012, Mr. Burnett served as the Partner in charge of the Energy Audit Practice within the Dallas/Ft. Worth Business Unit. Prior to joining KPMG LLP in 2002, Mr. Burnett spent time at Arthur Andersen LLP and Marine Drilling Companies, Inc. Mr. Burnett is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas. Mr. Burnett received a B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas Tech University.

Mr. Burnett brings extensive business and financial expertise to our board from his two decades of financial management, accounting and public company expertise in the oil and gas and accounting industries. For these reasons we believe he is an ideal candidate to serve on our board and serve as our Audit Committee Chairman.

Responsible for the company’s finance organization, Mr. Mattson was appointed CFO in November 2008. Prior to the appointment, Mr. Mattson was an investor in Select Energy Services through his affiliation with Juniper Capital, an investment firm focused on oilfield service opportunities.

From 1993-1999, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Baker Hughes Inc., a leading oil service company. Having joined Baker International, Inc. in 1980, Mr. Mattson served in a number of capacities including Treasurer prior to the merger of Baker International, Inc. and Hughes Tool Co. in 1987 at which time he became Vice President and Treasurer of Baker Hughes, Inc. Mr. Gillette joined Select Energy Services in June 2015 and serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He brings over 30 years of industry experience to his position. He has a strong background in finance as well as managing business operations including supply chain management, human resources and information technology.

Mr. Gillette began his career with Ernst &Young (“EY”) before going on to serve in Finance and Operations roles with Thomson Tax & Accounting. Most recently, he spent eight years with Allied Oil and Gas Services, LLC, as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Ortowski has been with Select Energy Services since its inception, initially serving as Vice President of Operations and subsequently promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2011. Prior to joining Select Energy Services, Mr. Ortowski and his brother Cole founded Impact Energy Services, a water transfer company, which was acquired by Select Energy Services in 2008.

Mr. Ortowski’s experience also includes working for more than 14 years for Pumpco Energy Services, a stimulation and cementing company headquartered in Gainesville, Texas. He served as Vice President of Stimulation Services, where he was instrumental in growing Pumpco Energy Services’ operations throughout the Barnett Shale of North Texas and expanding into other US markets.

Mr. Shauf began his career with Select Energy Services as an Operations Manager for Impact Energy Services, the company’s water transfer and well testing service line.  He has since held numerous upper management positions in the operations and acquisitions fields, preparing for his role as Senior Vice President of Operations.

Before joining the oil and gas industry, Mr. Shauf had a 12 year career in banking, service as the Vice President and Lending Officer for First State Bank of Gainesville, Texas.  He has also served as President, General Manager, and Board Member of Petroflex North America, a manufacturer providing products to the telecommunications, cable, and electric utility industries.

Mr. Lujan brings over 15 years of HSE and operations management experience in the oil & gas, construction and nuclear power industries to the Select Energy Services team. Prior to joining Select, he served as HSE Director for Delcor USA, an engineering company for the upstream oil and gas production industry in the Gulf Coast, West Africa and Latin America. His background also includes providing management and HSE support to downstream operations for several E&P companies in the Gulf Coast.

He joined Select in 2010, as a regional HSE/DOT manager. Mr. Lujan’s commitment to cultivating a safety culture has advanced him through multiple corporate HSE functions prior to his current role.

Mrs. Hermes joined Select Energy Services in January 2011, and serves as Vice President for the organization’s Information Technology, Procurement and Fleet Management departments. She brings over 20 years of experience to her position. Throughout her time with Select, Mrs. Hermes has managed many facets of the company’s operations and business administration, including Department of Transportation registrations, Property Management, Operational Reporting, and the Fuel department.

Prior to joining Select, Mrs. Hermes spent 22 years working with Peterbilt, Kenworth and their respective dealers. Most recently, she held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for JX Enterprises, a dealer group based in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan.

Mrs. Remy started working for Select in December of 2012 as Regional HR Manager for the MidCon Region. Since then she has held the position of HRIS Manager at Corporate and has worked her way up to where she is today as the VP of Human Resources. For the past 29 years, Mrs. Remy has worked in the Human Resources field and also held management roles for the past 24 years. Her most previous position prior to Select was a Staff Manager in Human Resources for Windstream Communications. She was responsible for over 3,000 employees in six states with 23 union contracts.

Jeremy began his career with Select Energy Services in 2009. He held numerous positions with Select from Construction Manager to the Division VP of WellOne, and many in between. Jeremy was chosen to serve as the President of Affirm Oilfield Services at its formation in May of 2014.

Jeremy began his career at Norris and Sons Construction in Soldotna, Alaska in 1992. A year later he joined the Army serving at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina until 1996. After serving in the Army, he returned to Alaska to work highway construction until the end of the construction season in 1998. Jeremy then moved to Texas where he worked in sales until 2002. From there, he began his career in the oilfield construction industry, ultimately leading him the SES family of companies and Affirm Oilfield Services.
